About Us

Today, perhaps more than at any other time, teenagers need love, care, and understanding. Within the boundaries of rural communities, there is little for the teenager to do. Crime is up while teachers and administration have had their hands tied. Parents are afraid to send their kids to school because of the moral decay.

Ministry Vision Statement

Crossroads Farm desires for every secondary student in our surrounding area to hear the Gospel of Christ and have the opportunity to say "yes" or "no" to that message.

Ministry Mission Statement

Crossroads Farm works in cooperation with the local rural church to:

Engage rural secondary students through Care Cells, weekly programming and outreach opportunities

Equip churches, volunteers and students through biblical teaching and training

Release them from rural strongholds, and

Impact our rural community for Christ

Crossroads Farm exists in order to provide social, educational, spiritual, and relational opportunities to the secondary students of our surrounding counties. We aim to positively impact rural communities by empowering students, interns and adult leaders.

Ministry Core Beliefs

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only way into a relationship with God.

Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

God sent his only son in order to make peace (propitiation) between man, dead in his trespasses and sin, and God. All men have sinned (Actions in rebellion of God) and were born in sin (a matter of nature). Christ, perfect himself, was punished, bled and died for our sin. Three days later he rose from the dead and took his seat at the right hand of God the Father as our mediator. Confession of sin and trust in Christ's finished work is only way for humanity to be saved.

The Authority of Scripture

2 Timothy 3:15, 16
And how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

We are committed to scripture as our primary authority in regard to all things taught, policies determined and carried out as well as best practices as an organization. We have flexibility where scripture is silent, but where scripture is definitive, we must also be definitive.

The Local Church

Ephesians 5:25, 26
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

We are committed to the health and development of the local church. We will build into each church that is a part of our Rural Church Initiative.

Personal Spiritual Development

2 Peter 1:5, 6
Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness,…

We are committed to the investment in the spiritual condition and growth of each of our staff.

Effective, Relational Student Ministry

Matthew 4:18-20
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will send you out to fish for people. At once they left their nets and followed him.

The fulcrum on which this ministry balances, is our primary relationships with students. Our volunteers, professional staff, and student leadership all understand a commitment to impacting the lives around them through the words they speak and the actions they participate in.

Homegrown Volunteer and Student Leadership

Matthew 11:1
After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee.

We are fully committed to the Master’s training model. Our express goal is to train disciples who, in turn, train disciples.

Teamwork and Cooperation

Ephesians 4:15, 16
But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

We are unified with the body in Christ. We are committed to the knowledge that each of us have been gifted to work for the benefit of the body of Christ to the glory of God.

The Family

Deuteronomy 6:6,7
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

The family is the institution used by God from creation on. His implicit instruction was first given to parents, who then were responsible for the obedience of the children.
